We're thrilled to announce that STEM for Her has received a GlobalGiving grant made in partnership with L'Oréal USA to make our Mentor Program possible.
Applications for Fall 2025 are now open and will close on September 19, 2025. We encourage interested students and professionals to apply early. The Fall 2025 program will begin in mid-October, and we are excited to announce that for the first time, the program will run through the entirety of the academic year, ending in April 2026. The program will require approximately two to four hours of time commitment per month for the duration of the program. This program is no cost and 100% virtual in order to accommodate a diverse group of participants. All mentors and mentees who apply will receive communication regarding next steps in early October 2025.
The STEM for Her Mentor Program is an impactful way for undergraduate college and university students to learn new skills and support professional development while networking with various industry professionals. Importantly, this program is specifically focused on developing broad professional skills as opposed to technical skills specific to a field of study. In other words, while we do our best to match students with a STEM professional in their field, all mentors, regardless of specialty, have significant value to offer student participants in our goals-based program structure. The program also offers customized curriculum based on your academic year, so that you can continue in the program throughout your undergraduate career and build upon the skills you develop each year with your mentor.
For students, this program helps in career planning by providing information on potential career paths and guidance on the professional skills needed for success. Be sure to learn more by visiting the Student Info page above.
For professionals, this program provides the opportunity to give back and volunteer time, while developing important leadership skills. Be sure to learn more by visiting the Mentor Info page above.
